Thanks to contributions from supporters in St. Petersburg, FL and across the country, the work to extend Black Power 96 Radio’s broadcast tower from 45 feet to 70 feet high has begun.

This week workers removed the top section of the tower in preparation for adding two new sections that will increase the height, enabling the signal, and the sounds of independent African community radio, to reach a wider coverage area.
